Patients: Billing & Payment

RedPath develops and provides advanced DNA testing for cancer diagnosis.  We do our best to limit your financial liability when you and your physician decide to order the PathFinderTG® test.

We have worked very hard to obtain the maximum insurance coverage for the PathFinderTG test in order to minimize any financial burden to our patients.  We are pleased to announce that PathFinderTG is now a covered service for Medicare beneficiaries.  This means that Medicare beneficiaries now have access to RedPath’s powerful, very personalized cancer diagnostic test. Currently, there is no co-pay responsibility for clinical laboratory testing, so Medicare beneficiaries will have no financial responsibility for this test.

PathFinderTG is a new technology and, as such, most insurance companies have not yet established coverage policies.  Thus, most non-Medicare claims are considered on an individual case basis.

RedPath will help you determine whether or not your test will be covered by your insurance company.  Our reimbursement staff works diligently with you to obtain payment from your insurance company.  RedPath takes responsibility for directly billing Medicare and all Third Party insurers whenever possible.

Our Patient Assistance with Reimbursement (PAR) program is one of the most generous programs offered by any clinical laboratory.  Based on your income and expenses, it is possible that we can lessen or eliminate your financial responsibility for PathFinderTG testing if your insurance company denies payment through the appeals process.  This program is intended for all patients, regardless of their financial situation.   Eligibility for the PAR program only requires that you and your physician support RedPath in the appeals process with your insurance company.

Call us for details about the PAR program or any billing related questions at 866-445-6719.
