The power of the right diagnosis...
Executive Healthcare Management Magazine
October, 2007
"Sixty-one year old Susan Larson* was hospitalized with abdominal pain two weeks before Christmas when her doctor gave her some troubling news: a CT scan had identified a walnut-size tumor near her pancreas. Doctors worried that the mass might be pancreatic cancer, which kills about 30,000 people annually, many within six months. The disease is tough to diagnose - 80% of pancreatic cancer is diagnosed late stage using traditional diagnostic approaches - and Larson's doctors weren't sure she had cancer."
